Mark Hill Heading to Kentucky

Mark Hill moving from Indiana to Kentucky

Lexington, Kentucky — As reported earlier this week, Indiana University strength and conditioning coach Mark Hill was resigning to take a similar position at another Power Five program. Turns out that Hill will be headed to Lexingon to join the Kentucky Wildcats, but Hill won’t be replacing anyone on the current strength and conditioning staff. Reports indicate that Hill’s move to Kentucky is part of head coach Mark Stoops effort to reduce the impact of the High Performance program run by Erik Korem and to institute a more traditional strength and conditioning program.

Via press release, Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson stated, “Mark Hill has resigned and accepted another position with a Power Five program. We appreciate his service and his leadership. Mark was our first staff hire and he did an exceptional job. Under his direction, our strength and athleticism has improved drastically.”

Hill’s contract lists his salary at $200,000 per year through June 2017 (source).
