  • Uh-Oh. I’m sure it might feel like this now, but it will feel even worse if you fail the actual exam. Looks like some of the scientific foundations material might be a little troublesome. Don’t worry though; that’s what practice questions are for. These questions are somewhat difficult because the CSCS exam is difficult. Most people taking the exam already know a lot about strength training and conditioning, but they have some difficulty with the small details and scientific foundations information that the NSCA requires. Like strength training and conditioning itself, it’s better to work hard now so the actual exam isn’t as difficult. Besides, you don’t want to fail the exam and have to shell out another couple hundred dollars to retake it.

Try to remember which areas you struggled on so you can review those topic areas later. Questions like these are designed to help you remember the basic Scientific Foundations material when you need to apply them in practice. The majority of the CSCS exam is application and analysis-based, so simple recall questions will be limited. Remember, this quiz displays just a few random questions from the question bank. Try each quiz multiple times so you can see all the different questions. There are also more practice questions available on my Facebook page.

If there is something in the quiz you have a question about or disagree with, just post up in the comments section and I’ll see if I can help or if something needs to be changed. If you can think of any other questions to add to the quiz, just send me an email at david[at]cscsquestions.com and I’d be happy to add your suggestions to the quiz along with your name for recognition. Also, please do me a solid and like my Facebook page and share this website with others.
