Scott Cochran Receives $92,400 in Bonus Money
Tuscaloosa, Alabama — Alabama’s strength and conditioning coach, Scott Cochran, walks away from the college football national championship with $92,400 in bonus money due to hitting all of his performance incentives. Alabama assistant coaches receive 4% of their base salary for an SEC title game appearance. For winning the national championship, Cochran received an additional 18% of his base salary. So for a guy who earns $420,000 a year as base salary, a 22% bonus equals $92,400. In addition to bonus money already guaranteed, each assistant coach may also receive additional performance bonus from head coach Nick Saban’s discretionary pool.
