Raleigh, North Carolina — Dantonio Burnette has taken over leadership of North Carolina State University’s football strength & conditioning program, replacing Jason Veltkamp. Burnette has been with the NC State football strength staff for 12 years.
Burnette played football at NC State, and then spent three seasons as a graduate assistant for Wolfpack football’s strength and conditioning program. After obtaining his master’s degree in higher education and sports management in 2007, Burnette served with NC State for five years as a full-time assistant. In 2012 Burnett spent a season at Pittsburgh as an assistant strength and conditioning coach before returning to NC State in January of 2013 as a member of Dave Doeren’s strength and conditioning staff.
